Breast Cancer Awareness
Zimbabwe Cancer Registry has reported an increase breast, cervix (women), prostrate (men), colon and other forms of cancer. The cost for physical examination ranges between $20-$100.
Cancer treatment utilizes multimodality approach: Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, Hormonal and Immunotherapy. Most patients have found it difficult to cover cost of $40-$100 for 6-12 cycles given every 3 weeks.
FMET on averages has supported 3 patients per month to undergo screening and treatment.
